IN HIS CAPACITY

Then said the king unto her, what wilt thou, queen Esther? And what is thy request? It shall be given thee to the half of the kingdom.  Esther 5:3

King Ahasuerus pledged to give to Esther whatever she wanted up to half of his kingdom.  He made the promise in his capacity as the king with authority that cannot be challenged by anyone.  If he pronounces half of the kingdom released to Esther, no one would have questioned him.

Esther 1:1-8 gives a picture of the wealth of King Ahasuerus.  If Esther, a formal slave girl was given half of the kingdom, her destiny would have experienced glorious transformation.

And he sware unto her whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.  Mark 6:23

That also was the word of King Herod to his young daughter that danced before him.  He made the promise and had the power to fulfill it in his capacity as the king.

Ahasuerus and Herod made the promise in their capacity as kings.  We do not doubt their ability to deliver since no one would dare stand against their decision.  We are also sure that if given, the destiny of the one that got half of the kingdom would permanently be transformed.  Let us ask ourselves, what transformation should we expect of a man that the Lord blesses in his capacity as the maker of heaven and the earth?

I wish you can ask the Lord to bless you in his capacity as the God of the universe.  If he does, no one will be able to stop it and then you will experience a glorious transformation.

We should however note that Esther was the queen to king Ahasuerus while the promise of King Herod was to his daughter.  The promise of half of their kingdom was to the one with whom they had wonderful relationship.  If you prayed for God to bless you in his capacity, we should ask if you have relationship with him to deserve such release.

REMEMBER THOSE IN THE MANGER

And she brought forth her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.  Luke 2:7

By the experience of Mary, it is obvious that it is not everyone that will have access to the “inn” of life.  The “inn” here represents comfort while the “manger” represents deplorable conditions.  Those that do not have the opportunity to the “inn” must also survive.  People improvise to ensure survival at all cost.  Such was the experience of Mary who made do with the manger because there was no room for her in the inn.  It is therefore not a good thing for those in the “inn” to see those in the “manger” as fools or not intelligent.  Circumstance beyond the control of many led them to the “manger”.  If they are given the opportunity, they will prefer to be in the “inn”.

The birth of Jesus in the manger reveals the deplorable situation to which so many people are subjected.  We see around us most people living in situations that can best be described as manger.  They give birth there, live and earn a living there.  Some are privileged to survive while some are not so lucky.

I do not dispute the fact that God may have decided that Jesus comes through such a humble manner.  My concern is for those whose situation seems permanent in the manger, that is, those that lives below the minimum standard of living.  Though Jesus came through the manger and yet fulfilled his destiny, how many of those having manger experience around us are fulfilling their God’s given destiny?

I want to encourage everyone reading this to refocus attention on those that Jesus used his coming to identify and sympathize with, that is, those in the manger.  Those that give birth under deplorable conditions, for lack of fund to seek proper health care.  Those not sure of where their next meal will come from.  Those displaced by war and/or disasters and others under all forms of deplorable conditions.

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.  The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive: and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou will not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.  The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.  Psalm 41:1-3.

I don't really like talking about politics, but I think  NOW is the right time to talk more about it.
Am surprised with way  99% of Nigerians are talking about President Buhari and Atiku. They make it looks as if we have only two(2) parties. 

I try to think of what Buhari and Atiku have to offer Nigerians, the only thing I found out is that  if either of them becomes the president of Nigeria, Nigeria will still be a worst country.
If Atiku has something good to offer Nigeria, we could have felt it during his eight(8) years of being the vice president to former president of Nigeria, President Olusegun Obasanjo and President M Buhari that promise change has show Nigerians what he meant with the word CHANGE in his 2015 presidential campaign. Bad Governance, No Jobs, Killing of innocent people etc .


Please fellow Nigerians Both Old and Young, I will like us to stepup and forget about political parties and vote for  personality that will give Nigerians what they lack. Am tied of seeing Nigeria being ruled by old people that knows nothing about the 21st century developement. I will like us to vote for an intelligent and self-motivated youth that knows what development really means.

Living is intentional...deliberate and depending on the resources of wisdom available to you, it could be strategic...While it's true that there 24hours in a day we can't lay claim that all the 24hours is engaged in things productive to us or the kingdom.(Matthew 6:33).. And obviously the year takes the summation and the direction of these 24 hours.

In 1samuel 17:25 - 27.. We saw an unusual Davidic transaction asking for the right to engage Goliath who was a national threat in Israel as at that time... On proper distillate of his confidence we saw that he had engaged victoriously through God the lesser editions of threat to the welfare of his very owns...the bear and the lion...while we have a generation so crazy for visibility... I really don't think we are equally painstaking in doing the unseen, uncelebrated and unrewarded well... We have forgotten that God rewards openly faithful transactions in the place called secret Matthew 6:18

This omission makes us a prophetic doughnut...with no real substance and essence in the centre of our impressions...there is never a substitute for track record when it comes to realm of the spirit which is the real realm 2corithians4:18...Once the destination is specific then the journey to it must be...

Saul who was a senior warrior discover the potency of this quality i mean the track record...he ascertained the authenticity and he couldn't but allow the young lad he what he first perceived to be suicide..what made the difference in perspectives is his "been throughs" that were unseen and uncelebrated...Our calling is to be faithful in what, when and with the revealed hows not to be celebs...faithfulness can surely bring visibility but not the the highest ranking in quality life motivations.

DEFECTS OF BETHESDA POOL  -  JOHN 5:1-15

Bethesda pool had the following shortcomings:

Its healing was seasonal.  It did not reflect the capacity of God to heal all the time.  The people beside it remained in pains until another season when the angel went down to stir the pool. In the name of Jesus and by the healing power in his blood, we don’t have to wait any longer in pains.

It accommodated an individual per time, instead of several people being healed by the power of God at the same time as we have it today.

An angel went down at a certain season to stir the pool as against several medium such as praise, prayer, word of God, anointing and communion now available to us to access the healing power of God.

It was in Jerusalem not in all the cities of the world, hence limited in scope and coverage.  Must a man travel long distance to be touched and healed by the Lord of the universe that is omnipresent?

It gave room for unhealthy competition and enmity within the impotent folks around the pool as each attempted to enter the pool before others.  The blood of Jesus cancelled such unhealthy competition because we can access healing individually right in the comfort of our homes.

There was no special consideration for those that had no one to help them into the pool.  No sympathy for anyone that stayed for years as a result of not having anyone to assist him into the pool.

As a result of the above shortcomings, several impotent folks spent endless years by the pool.  The case of several folks became hopeless and only God knows how many of them died waiting.  

The case of a particular man that Jesus took up lent credence to the fact that the pool had no consideration for those without anyone to help.  The man lamented to Jesus that he had no man to help him into the pool as a result of which he had stayed beside the pool for years, as noticed by Jesus himself. 

Jesus did not comment on what the man said since he knew that the man was right in his observation and that the pool was going to become history shortly.  He knew that his blood was to soon replace the pool and would be accessible to everyone irrespective of location.  He knew that his blood will deal with all known and unknown shortcomings associated with the pool.

God knew that what the impotent man said was valid, hence completely cancelled the pool with its associated shortcomings.  He gave the blood of his son Jesus Christ as the new pool with better covenant and conveniences.  All that is required of anyone that wants healing is to believe in the name of Christ and the power of his blood to heal completely.  

As you read this, the power of God is available where you are to heal you of all infirmities.  I declare you healed in Jesus mighty name.  Just believe and you shall see the glory of God. John 11:40, Mark 9:23, Mark 11:23-24.

DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY

DON’T WORRY

Realize that every time you get really upset, its make you tied, messes with your health and doesn’t change one thing.

You have a choice to either stay calm or get worked out, God is working in you, so just concentrate on your relationship with Him and He ‘ll take care of the rest.

·       Immediately increase your level of peace

·       Don’t allow others to steal  your joy

·       Choose to see the positive side of every situation

·       Experience the fruit of the spirit; love, Joy, Peace, Patience etc.

There are going to be moments when people get under your skin, a situation goes wrong. Or you receive bad news. You don’t have to let them get to you.

You have the peace of Jesus to help you. So sit back, relax and soak up all the peace he gives.

Dear Friend, I know that you are intelligent, Rich and famous, but I have a question for you.

Why do you;

·         Lie to make wealth

·         Steal to live in abundance

·         Hate your brother because his more famous

·         Sleep around with lecturers so as to have good grade

·         Hate the Bible and like Porn magazines

·         Prefers to be in an highlife club than to be in a Church

·         Preach against Christ (Antichrist).

My Friend, do you know that “He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity…” (Prov 22:8 kjv). Every ungodly act will end with a regret but doing the will of God buy seeking first His Kingdom, giving to people in need because he that oppressed the poor to increase His riches and he that gives to rich, shall come to want (prov 22:16 kjv) and by preaching the true message of Christ, you are going to reign with Christ forever.

        My friend, how long will you turn God’s glory to shame? How long will you love delusion and seek false gods? (psm 4:2 NIV) the answer should be that you will STOP NOW!

You are of God not of the Devil, the devil is a thief and a thief cometh not but to steal, kill and destroy; but God come that you might have life and that might have it more abundantly (john 10:10).

      Finally, my friend, for what is man profited, if He shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (matt. 16:26 kjv).

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? Couldest not thou watch one hour?   Mark 14:37

Three times Jesus requested Peter, James and John to watch and pray but they slept off.  Jesus was left to pray alone for the cup of death to pass over him.  When the enemies took over and arrested Jesus, Peter suddenly became active, drew his sword and cut off the ear of the servant of the High Priest.  The same Peter that could not fight for an hour in the place of prayer initiated a fight with the use of sword.  The decision of brethren could be very unrealistic at times.

Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear.  The servant’s name was Malchus.  John 18:10

I am thinking that the above scriptures are about to be repeated in Nigeria.  When Christians were supposed to sincerely pray and take charge of the affairs in Nigeria, we were all over playing with the powers that be (to show class and status), teaching different keys to this and that and involved in unholy rivalry.  Those that claimed that they prayed, we later learnt were handsomely rewarded out of tax payers resources, for praying for their dear country.  I wonder what narration will be given to such expenses in the accounts of Nigeria.  Oh God how did your church in Nigeria turn out this way?

Now that the problem stares at us like it did to Peter, some are suggesting that we should defend ourselves like Peter attempted.  The questions in my mind are:

With what am I to defend myself?  Is there plan to supply us with guns and train us to shot?

If I am not disciplined enough to pray for an hour, can I truly face the stress of war that may demand that I don’t eat or sleep for days?

Is God no longer able to defend his name and his people?

May be I do not understand the most convenient between fighting in the place of prayer (under a peaceful atmosphere with fan or air conditioner) and fighting with AK47 on the street and in the bush (inside hot sun and rain where possible without shoe).  May be I have lost my faith and allowed fear to take over my heart.  Unfortunately most of us don’t even know where to acquire guns nor have the resources to purchase one.  Anyways we are waiting for the guns they intend to supply to us before they run out of the country leaving us to fight all alone. Some of those asking us to defend ourselves have the resources to relocate a whole State abroad once the war starts but believe me they will not relocate us but only their families.

If Peter had prayed when Jesus asked him to pray, he may have been able to command legions of angels to fight when he needed to fight.  He refused to pray hence not in a position to command angels, he had to initiate a physical fight with the enemies when it finally dawn on him that Christ was to be taken from him.  The truth is that some of those that needed to pray never did.  Some did for national recognition or incentives from the politicians.  Now that we need to give words of command for heaven to fight for us, we cannot, hence they are asking us to defend ourselves. 
Why we are waiting for them to supply us with what to defend ourselves with, please let us continue to seek the face of our God in prayers, ask for mercy over Nigeria and ask God to personally take over the affairs of this nation. Let all believers arise to truly defend ourselves by obtaining Permanent Voters Card (PVC) because it will be useful in the nearest future.

WAY OUT OF FOOLISHNESS
 

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?  Galatians 3:1

Paul defines foolishness as the refusal to obey a known truth due to the bewitchment (influence, manipulation or cajoling) of another person.  Since his letter was addressed to the churches in Galatia, it implies that a man may be in church, yet be said to be foolish for refusing to obey the truth.

The truth of the word of God is not hidden.  The determination to search it out and the courage to comply with it is what is lacking and that is what Paul refers to as foolishness.  It is more pathetic if the refusal to obey the word of God is as a result of influence or human manipulations.

We must be determined to know the truth through constant PERSONAL study of the bible and beyond that, have the COURAGE to obey every truth that we know.  There are several teachers with all manner of doctrines in town, as part of the signs of the end time.  We must choose not to be foolish.  We must personally search out the truth and do them.  Don’t allow further manipulation of men in your relationship with God your father.

RIGHT HANDS OF FELLOWSHIP, A MEANS OF EXPANDING THE GOSPEL.




And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.  Galatians 2:9

The gospel of Christ is beyond what an individual or a group of people can handle all alone.  James, Cephas and John perceived the grace of God that was on Paul.  They gave to him and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship for them to go to the heathen.  The right hands of fellowship mean the right encouragement and the needed support.  They saw themselves as partners in the work of the kingdom, not for their pocket, not for recognition and not to be seen to be better than one another.  Human status was completely not their pursuit.

The gospel of Christ will expand faster when those that God has made to be pillars act like James, Cephas and John.  The young ministers on whose head God is releasing grace need the right hands of fellowship from the “pillars of the gospel”, that is our “fathers in faith” at various levels.  The constraint today is the desire for the one to be supported to be a “son” or “mentee” before right hands of fellowship could be extended to him.  Was Paul a “son” or “mentee” to any of James, Cephas and John, when for the sake of the gospel, they gave him and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship?  The consideration then was the “perceived grace” not a “”son in the house” or a “mentee”.

The “pillars of the gospel” of this generation should not attempt to cover everywhere all alone.  God intends to make the work go faster before the coming of Christ, that is why he is releasing grace on more vessels since the harvest is plenty but the labourers are few.


With the right hands of fellowship more men would be encouraged in the call of God.  There are many vessels struggling with the work, not because they are not called but because the “pillars of the gospel” have refused to give the required right hands of fellowship. - Pastor Sam Adebayo(BHC)

North Korea: Trump accuses China of allowing oil transfers.

US President Donald Trump has said he's "very disappointed" with China following a report that it had allowed oil to be shipped into North Korea.

In a tweet, Mr Trump said China had been "caught red-handed".
He said there could never be "a friendly solution" to the North Korea crisis if oil was allowed to be exported to Pyongyang.
China earlier denied there had been any breaking of UN oil sanctions between China and North Korea.
Last week, Beijing supported a US-drafted UN resolution that included measures to slash the North's petrol imports by up to 90%.

US state department spokesman Michael Cavey reiterated calls for all countries to cut economic ties with North Korea.
"We urge China to end all economic ties with the DPRK [North Korea], including tourism and the provision of any oil or petroleum products," he said.
In another development on Thursday, the UN Security Council denied international port access to four more North Korean ships suspected of carrying banned goods, AFP news agency reported. It would bring the total number of ships blocked by the UN to eight.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Job 1:1

The introduction of Job has no title added yet Job left a record unbeaten by many men with great titles. Job introduced simply as “a man” was said to be perfect, upright, feared God and eschewed evil, such that God was proud of him and boasted about him to the devil. Today, brethren piles up titles for human recognition, because by their fruits, we can rightly conclude that many are unknown to God.

Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands. Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. Job 4:3-4

Apart from Job’s commitment to God, which made God to publicly recognize him, above scripture highlighted his activities at helping and imparting people in his generation:

+ He instructed many, not a few.
+ He strengthened the weak hands.
+ His words upheld him that was to fall.
+ He strengthened the feeble knees.

Job needed no title to be upright before God. He needed no title to serve humanity. Though the calls into various offices in the church are recognized, but believe me, pleasing God and serving humanity has nothing to do with the title those calls places on us. You need no title to serve and be pleasing to God and also to positively impart humanity.

Every believer with or without a title should strive to please God and positively impart humanity since that is what will count before God. The issues believers shall face before God will have to do with being perfect, upright, feared God and hate evil and not whether we hold a title in church.

DON'T RETURN WITHOUT THE AXE HEAD

But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master, for it was borrowed. 2 Kings 6:5

The son of the prophet was troubled by the lost of the axe head. He cried out to Elisha for help. To return home with wood for the expansion they desired was though important but more important was to return the axe which was borrowed to its owner. Unfortunately the axe head fell into river Jordan. How would he face the owner who had probably warned him to ensure the safety of the axe? What excuse would he give, knowing the antecedents of the owner that he does not listen to excuses?

The young man was greatly concerned and raised an alarm over an axe which we could consider ordinary. He thought of the shame and embarrassment to which he may be subjected by the owner. He knew that he dare not return home without the axe intact, he therefore cried and got help from Elisha.

What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

It is clear from the above scripture that our body and spirit belong to God. Look at the way it is stated: (Ye are not your own), (Ye are bought with a price) and (glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God’s). Your body and spirit are not your own, they belong to God.

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:12

As it was expected of the son of the prophet to give account of the borrowed axe, in like manner we shall one day give account of the body and the spirit that God borrowed us.

The issue before us is whether our borrowed axe (body and spirit) are still intact or fallen into Jordan (the world)? The bible is clear on the areas where our axe head could likely fall and warned us ahead of its consequence.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

And now, little children, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 1 John 2:28

The son of the prophet could not face the shame and the embarrassment of not returning home with the axe intact. The consequence of not returning to God with our body and spirit intact will also bring shame but beyond shame, fire, brimstone, eternal sorrow and gnashing of teeth in hell as stated in the above scriptures are involved.

The difference between us and the son of the prophet is that we are not as troubled as he was over the consequence of facing the owner of our body and spirit which are already lost into various atrocities. We are not afraid of the pain and sorrow that await those that will dare to return to God without their body and their spirit that he borrowed them holy and sanctified.

The son of the prophet had Elisha to cry to for help. We also have the Holy Spirit to cry to for help. The Holy Spirit will help us out of our fallen state. It is better we cry and receive the help of the Holy Spirit before we are called home as there will not be any chance to do that in the grave. Don’t return to God without your axe (body and spirit) intact, for it was borrowed.
